Who is responsible for the processing of the
data?
The National and Kapodistrian University of
Athens (NKUA) is responsible for the processing of the data collected by the
app “What should I study?” through its research group Narralive
(National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Infromatics and
Telecommunications, Panepistimioupolis, Informatics building, 157 84, Ilissia,
Athens, , tel: +30 210 727 5339. The
group Narralive aims to research and develop innovative products always
respecting the user personal data.
What type of information does the app collect?
During the
installation of the app in your device (smartphone or tablet), it asks for your consent to
access (a) the file system in your device, to store data needed for your guided
tour in the museum (images, video, etc), (b) the camera, for the potential scanning
of QR codes during the tour, (c) the NFC reader (Near Field Communication), for
the potential scanning of NFC stickers during the tour and (d) the Web, to download
data needed for the tour (images, video, etc).
This access is necessary for the app to work. The
files in your device are not collected neither gets processed by the app.
During the use of the
app, we collect
data relevant to your tour in the museum, including duration of viewing the app’s
screens, potential choices in menus within the app and answers to questions
that are addressed to you through the app.
This data collection is anonymised. We do not
know and cannot know who is the user behind this data.
At the end of the
tour, you are asked
to evaluate the experience. We record this evaluation, but again as anonymised
data.
All data is stored securely in the NKUA servers
with controlled access.
What is the objective of processing personal
data?
The objective of
collecting the data is
to manage, evaluate, develop and improve the app but also to produce research
data related to the management of cultural products. In any case, we confirm
that all data is anonymised.
How long will we keep the data?
The data is kept anonymised from the moment of
its collection.
It will be retained as long as the application
exists and, in any case, their anonymisation ensures no possibility for
leaking.
Legal basis
The processing of your personal data is
performed based on your consent when installing the application and is related
only to the application function for your service.
Data sharing
Personal data are not shared with third
parties. If this data is to be shared, it will be anonymised.
What are your rights concerning personal data?
You have the right to rescind your consent at
any time and uninstall the app, whenever you wish. The data collected until
that point cannot be deleted and it will be retained anonymised as explained
above. After uninstalling the application from your device any access of the
application to it is immediately terminated. In any case, if you have questions

Intellectual property
The copyrights of the app and its content,
including images, sound, animations, graphics, logos, icons, photos and any
other elements that could be used for commercial purposes are property of the
NKUA.
It is strictly forbidden to reproduce,
distribute and publish, including for commercial purposes, in any device or
through any means without the permission of NKUA.
Responsibility for the use of the app
NKUA is not responsible, in any case, for any
type of harm that could result because of the following: errors or omissions in
content, lack of port availability or transmission of viruses, although it has
taken all necessary measures to avoid this.
However, NKUA is at the disposal of all users
to correct/review the content.
